INTRODUCTION
Success Microfinance Institution S.C (SMFI S.C) is a company registered by the National Bank of Ethiopia according to Micro-Financing Business Proclamation No. 626/2009 and Micro-Financing Business (Amendment) Proclamation No. 1164/2019. Its purpose is to provide financial and non-financial products to active poor and missing middle-income societies to contribute to the development of the Ethiopian economy.
The company has a Head Office in Addis Ababa and will have Branches in Addis Ababa and different regions. Branches will be opened and services expanded step by step based on more strategic and disciplined ways of business survey and articulated risk assessment
In microfinance, human resources are important inputs for institutional growth and attaining the institutional objective of the MFI. Thus, human resource management is important, which involves proportional and competitive rewards.
Becoming the best, inclusive, sustainable economic and social vehicle in poverty alleviation efforts in Ethiopia and East Africa by 2040.
SMFI Mission Statement
To provide microfinance services that are suitable for the needs of the population while ensuring MFI’s long-term sustainability. We intend to offer diverse products, combine cost-efficient methodologies with exemplary customer service, and become a financially self-sufficient institution. In doing so, we envisage lifting the economic base of the low-income, self-employed communities, particularly women.
